National Institute of Health Undergraduate Scholarship Program

The National Institute of Health (NIH) offers scholarships for students who are committed to careers in biomedical, behavioral and social-science related health research. NIH undergraduate scholarships are awarded for 1-year periods (renewable for up to 4 years) and cover undergraduate tuition and reasonable educational and living expenses up to $20,000 per academic year. In return, recipients commit to two types of service obligation for each year of scholarship: (1) 10 weeks summer service as a paid employee in an NIH research laboratory and (2), after graduation, a year of full time paid employment in an NIH research laboratory. Deadline is March 2018.
