The Marshall Scholarship finances the opportunity for young Americans of outstanding ability to study for a degree in the United Kingdom. Applicants propose their area of study and their university of choice, and may receive funding for either one or two years. Marshall Scholars are chosen through a competitive process based on academic merit, leadership potential, and ambassadorial potential.
2017 Marshall Application Information
US citizenship at the time of application
Undergraduate GPA of 3.70 or higher at the time of application
First undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year college or university in the US
First undergraduate degree completed after April 2014 and before September 2018
Current SDSU graduate students are eligible as long as they meet all requirements above.
All current SDSU students must receive endorsement through the process below. Without endorsement, currently enrolled students cannot be considered.

September 1, 2017 at 4:00 PM PST: SDSU Campus Deadline
Thursday and/or Friday, September 7 and 8, 2017: Marshall Endorsement Interviews
Monday, September 25, 2017: Deadline to submit final complete application on-line and deliver hard copies of all transcripts to SDSU Marshall Advisor.
October 1, 2017: Marshall Commission Final Deadline
November 2017: Notification of Finalists and non-Finalists by Marshall Commission
Mid-November 2017: Marshall Finalist Interviews
Late November 2017: Marshall Selection Announcement
